Jag har lyssnat på Snowflakes at Lavender Bay av Sarah Bennett, den tillhör en serie och detta är den tredje boken. Trots detta var det inga problem att förstå handlingen om man inte läst del ett och två i serien. Den finns på Storytel och har fått etiketten ”Jul”. Det är en typisk julbok, den handlar inte så mycket om julen.
It would be dark soon and the grand switch-on-of-the-lights would begin. With Owens help and by help she meant his insistence on doing all the work under her direction, she covered the windows and the door of the shop with a waterfall cascade of white lights. By blocking any view of the counter she’d hoped to distract people enough to deter them from thinking the chip he would be opening for buisness. She crossed her fingers then flipped the switcheses on the plugsocketes. The inside of the shop glowed from a stunning display in the window. As she let herself back out, securing the door behind her, she could see lights blincking on up and down the promenad as the other busissnisowners and traders turned on thier own window displays. All the colors of the rainbow glitted and flashed for as far as she could see on either side. Ohhs and ahhs rose from the crowd as they began to stroll once more pointing and nudging each other as a particular display caught their attention.
